On the day

What happens at your first visit

You are seen by Prof. Mohamed El-Gaidi himself, with the time your case needs for examination and explanation.

Neurological exam

Your full history, then strength, sensation, reflexes and walking, depending on your symptoms.

Scan review

The MRI or CT images themselves are matched with the exam; extra tests are requested only when needed.

A clear plan

You leave knowing the diagnosis and options: medication and physiotherapy, guided injections without surgery, or surgery, plus when to follow up.

Before your visit

What to bring on the day

The professor reads the images himself rather than relying on the report, so bring your complete file:

  • The actual scans (MRI, CT, X-ray) on CD or a download link, with reports.
  • Older scans for comparison, if you have them.
  • Nerve conduction studies and recent lab results.
  • A list of your medicines and doses, especially blood thinners.
  • Reports of any previous surgery or injections.

Do not stop any medicine on your own before the visit. If a medicine needs to be paused, you will be told after the assessment.
